ESG

Sustainability at JBS is a transversal commitment of the Business Units and Company areas, in all countries where the company maintains operations and enters into agreements, based on ethical and transparent performance, constructive relationship with its stakeholders and responsibility in the treatment given to people, the community and the environment.

One of the most important initiatives is the JBS Fund “Juntos pela Amazônia”, which integrates this commitment, promotes the development of the biome, promotes the conservation and sustainable use of the forest, provides improvements in the quality of life of the population that resides there and the development of new technologies to preserve the environment. With the implementation of a blockchain platform, unprecedented in the animal protein sector, it will expand the monitoring of JBS' direct suppliers.

Global warming is one of the greatest challenges in human history. As the world's largest food producer, JBS is committed to being part of the change.

The JBS Fund “Juntos pela Amazônia” is a set of initiatives that aim to increase the conservation and development of the Amazon biome, engaging the sector and proposing actions beyond the value chain.

Circular economy

The concept of the circular economy is based on three principles: Reduce, Reuse, Rethink and Recycle. Waste, therefore, does not exist. This is our main conduct, as we convert co-products into products with high added value, in an innovative way. Thus, we promote sustainability and the integration of our entire value chain.
